I'm part of the committee that organizes the event for B.A.T (Baseball Assistance Program). We are a program that provides assistance for ex-players who are dealing with financial burdens. We looked into a few places but finally decided on going to the Marriott Marquee in NYC. We have used it a few times now and its a great venue. The service was great. From the coatroom people to the chefs, it was great. They were very responsive to all our needs. It was very clean and anything we didn't like, they changed. For example we had a problem with the decour looking too tacky (we asked for it to look professional and they had a lot of hanging baseballs and it just looked cheap). They had their staff stay up all night to change everything. All the employees were well dressed and very professional. I really appreciated this as it really shows they take pride in their jobs. I would recommend this venue to anyone as its very spacious and they can host almost any small to large event. I didn't deal with the pricing for organizing this event so I cant comment on that. They offered a variety of options. The cocktail hour and signing was hosted in a conference room. The dinner was held in a floor above in a very large conference room with a stage. Overall it was a good experience. I'd recommend it to anyone.
The Marriott Marquis is right in the middle of Times Square so no matter what type of meeting or function you're planning, you're in the heart of the action as you step outside right in the middle of New York. We had our conference there and the food was phenomenal, the people were friendly and the location was perfect! We had several people stay the night at the hotel, including executives from out of town and they all were very pleased with the accomodations. The conference ran smoothly, the sound and video projection were perfect, the ambiance was professional and engaging and I would highly recommend this venue for any corporate function. If you're looking to be where the action is, I would definitely book your conference or meeting here at the Marriott Marquis.
