I attended a week long contract negotiation at the Hilton Times Square in July of 2010. Space: One item that must be noted about the Hilton is its available space. There are so many rooms to choice from. The Hilton can accommodate just about any size meeting you may have in mind. The smaller rooms were especially beneficial when holding small caucases among smaller group. Food: One of the most noticeable features, in my opinion, for the Hilton was the quality and taste of its menu. The food was exceptional. I attended meetings there for over a week and I had no complaints whatsoever. I have attended meetings at other New York city hotels and their food was not as good. Service: The service was professional and accommodating at all times. When scheduling and arranging meetings that worked with us to ensure that all of our needs were met. The rooms were kept spotless at all times. The support staff were professional and friendly at all times. One of the highlights of our stay at the Hilton was the fact that they proudly brew Starbucks coffee. While this may not be a big deal to some people, I definitely felt that this a an outstanding amenity. Most hotels simple brew any old coffee, not the Hilton! The ONLY negative about the Hilton Times Square is the price. It is very expensive to hold a meeting here. But that is not surprising because after all this is New York AND the location is right in the center of Times Square. In the end, you definitely get what you pay for. I highly recommend the Hilton for your next business meeting in New York.

For an exquisite out of town meeting venue experience, the Manhattan Hilton hotel was the place to be! The experience of holding a large meeting in a beautiful ballroom amidst your co-workers for a work related conference is very unique one. There were comfortable seating arrangements and the room was comfortably temperature controlled. The concierge and transportation desk had amazing staff that were available at any time to answer any questions about the hotel and the accommodations. There was no problem with the hotel providing transportation to venues throughout Manhattan in between meeting times. Transportation included staff hailing cabs or ordering limo service. There were some perks in meeting at the Hilton hotel for a weekend meeting. The rooms were priced at a reasonable group rates and between meetings, patrons could use the fitness center. Views from the windows looked out to the hustle and bustle of a city that does not sleep. Accommodations for the conference included use of a business center, clean and elegant restrooms, and the use of in house Wi-Fi. Meals that were catered for this meeting were delicious. The wait staff was ready to serve. The menu had options palatable for even the pickiest of tastes. The dinnerware was exquisite and there was enough food to eat with every serving. There was an excellent selection of beverages. Signature New York style alcoholic beverages such as the famous cosmopolitan could be ordered and made to perfection. The people of New York were diverse and friendly and the staff and accommodations of the Manhattan Hilton hotel were magnifique!
I recently attended a 1-day conference held at the Hilton New York, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY. The topic of the conference was Amazon Web Services users summit. I had been attending another conference at the Javits Center, and found this location much more convenient of a location as the Javits Center does not have easily accessible subway lines, although the is construction underway to extend one of the lines to this area. The Hilton was accessible from the main subway lines (my hotel was located next to Penn Station), and was not overrun with tourists (which was a relief from the Times Square atmosphere). This part of NY appeared to be mostly business professional. The Hilton had a variety of meeting areas, and the ballrooms were very spacious and fairly elegant, although this was not a requirement for the conference. The areas were large enough for food tables to be set up without causing congestion in the "expo floor" area. I also appreciated the conference area was upstairs and separate from the guest area, which can be fairly hectic in downtown Manhattan. The only downside, and not the fault of the location, was that there weren't many places to sit. More chairs on the periphery would have been appreciated as there was ample room for them. Overall though, this was a nice venue, without the bustle of tourism, and provided more than enough space...New York can feel a little claustrophobic at times!
