I attended a conference at the InterContinental Hotel in New York City. The venue was an excellent facility for a large meeting. Upon arrival, we were kindly directed to check-in and to our rooms to rest before the conference began. The staff at the hotel were extremely courteous, helpful, and responsive to all requests of visitors. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had all necessary provisions for a comfortable stay. Although I did not request a King size bed, they gave me on anyway. It was just one example of a kind gesture that this venue offered in order to please their guests. The meeting had a cocktail party and the space was immaculate. The hallways are authentic and traditional, yet classy and modern. It was a very pleasant place to be. The cocktail room was open with excellent lighting and sufficient space for approximately two hundred guests. The catering was excellent and presented in a very appetizing manner. All staff were smiling and genuinely cared for the guests. The meeting continued the next day in several conference rooms. The rooms were well laid out with adequate equipment for presentations, speakers, and food. The acoustics were excellent and the meeting rooms were comfortably large. The only thing that was a bit of a concern was that the meeting was during the summer months, but the air conditioning was on high and made the room a bit too cold for my liking. Other than this minor issue, the InterContinental Hotel NYC was an excellent venue for a conference or meeting and I hope to go there again soon.
