As a seasoned event planner; I underestimated my ability to plan an event in New York City from a remote location. It is much harder than I imagined it could be! Booking with the 230 FIFTH took all of that stress away immediately. When I first started looking for locations to hold my company conference in NYC-I was going back and forth with many conference centers that did not spend any time getting to know the event that I was trying to plan. All of the other locations were expensive and non-responsive to my business needs. By pure luck I found 230 fifth and noticed they hold Conferences was immediately connected with Jack Toomey who made the entire proposal and cost break down portion of planning a breeze. I instantly knew that I would be taken care of and the entire process would be stress-free. Booking my event was an absolute dream come true and the event that I planned with John (the A/V manager) was a massive success. The accessibility and attention to detail that this location and staff provided was unparalleled. Jack truly helped me think of everything (shipping addresses for vendors, security measures, everything!) and he was extremely responsive to my requests, calls and emails. I never felt that I was not given the attention that I needed from the venue to make my event a success. The location was beautiful and very spacious with all of the proper “tech” hookups included in the price. In addition; all of the catering was prepared in house and absolutely delicious. The food was fresh and plentiful and the price could not be beat anywhere in Manhattan. Booking my event at this venue was the best possible choice I could have made for planning an event in Manhattan from a remote location. The care that I was shown from the booking process through execution was incredible and I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a convenient place to hold a conference with inclusive pricing and a caring staff. I cannot say enough wonderful things about staff .
I would recommend New York City's 230 Fifth Rooftop Lounge for a non-traditionalist style wedding. This venue holds a reputation as one of several quintessential, modern New York wedding venues. One look at the decor and theme inside the venue will knock you off your feet, whether wedding decorations are in place or not. The Midtown skyline, which serves as a natural backdrop for the wedding, is breathtaking in the truest sense of the word. It comes alive even more so due to the momentous occasion of a wedding. The reception area itself can hold over 1,000 guests. I have been fortunate enough to attend both a birthday party and a wedding here last July and it was absolutely unforgettable. The wedding itself was held on the rooftop which is tastefully decorated (but not over-decorated) with natural plants and pieces of art, evoking vintage style elegance. The bride and groom in question (both stockbrokers) were jubilant the entire time. Be prepared to shell out the big bucks! The groom didn't tell me a specific amount but said it was certainly closer to the top tier range. The service here is very good, all attendees seemed very happy with their food and drinks, but I would not describe the service as going beyond the call of duty (think 'another day, another shift' kind of mindset but still professional). One bartender, specifically, looked like she could use about an entire bottle of Advil (still, she got drunk with us, in the end). Besides that, everything else was beautiful. Book early, and be excited! You will not regret it.
