About Preservation Hall

One of the most intimate and exclusive venues in the world, Preservation Hall has served as the French Quarter’s home of Traditional New Orleans Jazz for more than fifty years. Built in the early 1800s, this historic Creole Mansion has been home to artists, poets and musicians for nearly two centuries. From the moment your guests walk through our historic wrought iron gates and into our legendary performance space, the tone of your event is set. Virtually unchanged in fifty years, this room breathes with the joy and austerity of the generations of New Orleans musicians who have played for ecstatic audiences since before we opened our doors in 1961. If you are looking for a special event, wedding, corporate meeting, party, reception, school groups, tours, etc. accompanied by the best New Orleans Jazz performers in the city, look no further than Preservation Hall, New Orleans. We have several catering companies we work with to help present the finest in Crescent City cuisine. Allow us to escort you with Mardi Gras revelers to a nearby restaurant with your own ‘Second line’ Parade! Every experience can me customize to fit your desired needs.
