About Basswood Chalet & Guesthouse
Basswood Chalet is a beautiful chalet-style home with a 22 foot river rock fireplace in the living room. The home is decorated with an Old World European elegance ambiance, including leather sofas, richly appointed upholstered furniture, fur pillows and throws and warm woods throughout. Located on 9.9 acres of trees and marshland across from Lower Long Lake, there's bound to be a perfect place for you to say I do!
We can accommodate up to 25 guests due to parking limitations and our desire to remain relaxed and rustic while being environmentally friendly to our wildlife residents.
There are several locations in and around Basswood Chalet that lend themselves well to ceremonies, including Romeo & Juliet-style on the balcony, in the woods or among the golden tamaracks. Consider getting married, eloping, renewing your vows, hosting a commitment ceremony, bridal/baby shower or baptism here!
We have an onsite seminary-trained, fully ordained interfaith minister available as well as a professional videographer/photographer. We offer packages that include one or both in addition to site rental and more.
