We got married in the spring of 2006, one year after Bridgewood Resort and Hotel opened. When my sister made initial contact with the staff there, they were really friendly and brougt us to tour the facility, even though it was still under construction at the time. We signed the contract and had a great experience from the start. We got married on a Friday, so Bridgewood gave us some extras, including a bottle of champagne on our wedding night and a free stay to use within a year in a whirlpool suite. Our wedding was intended to be an outdoor event, in a beautiful setting near the first tee on the Bridgewood golf course. Unfortunately, it rained for many days preceding our wedding day. Two days prior to our wedding day, the planner contacted us to ask our wishes for that day, as we knew the forecast wasn't looking good. We, of course, chose to not pursue the outdoor ceremony, for the sake of our guests. The planner was amazing and managed to rearrange our plans to block off half of the reception room for our actual wedding, bring in chairs for seating, then usher the guests to the hallway (where she suggested a refreshments station) while we took pictures. The staff then took down the partition and rearranged the room in time for our dinner. We were extremely impressed and recommended the venue to some friends, who also used it for their reception.
