Wow!! How much did we love the food at this event? If you want a low-key, down-home meal for a large group, go with the Loveless Cafe. They serve the Nashville Metro area and the surrounding suburbs. I organized a large breakfast business meeting for about 60 people, and wanted something fun and out of the ordinary. Having eaten at the Loveless Cafe restaurant a dozen times or so, I asked if they did catering and was surprised to find out that they did. I was astounded by the prices. They provided a complete buffet setup, with servers in abundance. The staff was tremendous: friendly, knowledgeable, prepared and undaunted by the size of the group. The table setup is super-casual (paper plates, plastic forks, etc.), but that kind of goes with the picnic-y stylf of the food, which was just plain delish. We had their Breakfast #2, which is loaded with cholesterol but no one cared because it was so, so good. Beautiful fresh fruit, country ham, sausage and biscuits (their biscuits are amazing), scrambled eggs and a delicious hashbrown casserole, grits ... the works. It was just fantastic. We could have added fried chicken (if you haven't had fried chicken at the Loveless, you haven't had real Southern fried chicken) for $3 a person. We didn't do that because of our budget, but with all we had, it was only about $15 a person. That is a real value. The communication was sharp and very responsive from my initial call to them, right up to the follow-up call I received, just to get my feedback and to make sure everything went as I had expected. I could not recommend this caterer more highly for a casual event!
