About Exploreum Science Center

Built to reflect the surrounding architecture and on the site of a 1950s police station and firehouse, the Exploreum is home to the most inventive private event space in the city. A premium downtown location within walking distance of more than six area hotels, restaurants and the convention center make this venue an ideal choice for corporate and educational meetings, workshops, and think tank sessions. Six core spaces to choose from, ample parking, and easy access from I-10, paired with rental packages that can be customized to include access to exhibit galleries and the Poarch Band of Creek Indians Digital Dome Theater, the Exploreum offers the Mobile Bay area a versatile and unparalleled event experience. Any events on operation days (Tuesday - Saturday) must begin after 5 pm.

Newly renovated with state-of-the-art technology, our digital dome theater is a memorable experience. No longer being affiliated with IMAX has opened the door of possibilities. • After-hours rental includes: o 1 wireless mic o 1 small podium o the entire Dome Theater for 1 hour ($500 every additional hour) and one of the following options. Options: • Play your own video or Blu-ray film: $700 per hr • A film showing from our current library: $7.00 per person ($700 minimum) • During business hours: $1,155 per hour
