About Open Book

Open Book is an innovative and welcoming location on the edges of Downtown Minneapolis. We offer three spaces for rent for your events and gatherings: an adaptive conference room that is perfect for up to 35 people for meetings, retreats, and events. The Open Book Performance Hall is a large raw space that can host events, performances, readings, panel discussions, or a variety of other uses. The Performance Hall can accommodate 150 people seated for a performance or mingling for a social event, or 70 people seated for a dinner or banquet. A smaller meeting room is perfect for small meetings, interviews, work sessions, or gatherings of up to about 10 people, Offering on-site parking and unique features, Open Book is a great place for your next gathering.

The Open Book Performance Hall is a raw space that can accommodate a variety of events from theater performances, readings, panel discussions to business meetings and fundraisers. Rates include use of the Performance Hall, the Atrium area, and the catering fridge/kitchenette for food staging. No additional charge for tables, chairs, or AV usage. Additional fee for linens and other equipment. PERFORMANCE HALL RATES: 4-hour minimum rental applies. • Daytime before 5 pm, Mon – Fri: $160/hr | $120/hr nonprofit • Evening, Mon – Thurs: $200/hr | $150/hr nonprofit • Weekends: Fri eve, Sat, Sun: $240/hr | $180/hr nonprofit Nonprofit rate also applies to Education & Municipal Gov’t rentals. CLEANING FEE is added for any events in the Performance Hall providing food/beverages. Fee ranges based on the extent of the catering, but starts at $100. Book Launches/Readings in the Performance Hall $500 Flat fee package for 3 hour event Podium, microphone, chairs, tables for refreshments and book signing, 6 high top tables and linens, sharing the event on the website and the marquee, cleaning fee. Cleaning Fee $100 for any events in the Performance Hall providing food/drink.

Terms and Conditions

Cancellations can be made up to 7 days in advance with no penalty. Rental fees must be received prior to the rental.

General Event Space

Flexible for meetings or other gatherings, the spacious Open Book Large Meeting Room offers a private and inspiring atmosphere in which to share ideas, plan, or simply get down to business. The space can accommodate up to 50 people in chairs in rows, 36 people classroom style, 28 at a conference table, or smaller groups in a variety of arrangements. The room has a large TV that can be connected to a laptop, chalkboard, and white board.

The room has a projector and screen, sound system, and microphones. There is an option to add a stage or podium. It is a perfect location for a concert or book event, a social reception, or a small dinner.
