I held my wedding at the Marietta Hotel and Conference Center in May of 2009. I planned a fairly large wedding, around 150 people and I spent about a year planning. My experience overall with this venue was positive. I visited with the wedding planner about one year in advance. We planned basics such as where on the property the wedding and reception would be held; what time of dinner we would have (seated or buffet); and other logistics. The facility offered a few fun tasting events in the year leading up to my wedding. Along with other brides, I was able to taste a wide variety of foods that would be served at my wedding, as well as the wines available. Also, I was able to visit with different vendors, such as linen and music performers. Leading up to the wedding I had a great experience. Overall, the facility was very accommodating to all my needs. I had a lot of custom requests, such as serving custom bottled water and having a candy buffet, which were all handled adequately. The food at the wedding was excellent and the service was great. The only negative experience was with the billing. They made a few mistakes afterwards that they tried to bill us for (they were eventually resolved). Also, the wedding coordinator disappeared right after the wedding and we never heard from her again. Overall, I had a great experience with this venue. It is expensive, but in my experience, you get what you pay for and I had a wonderful wedding.
The Hilton Atlanta Hotel and Conference Center is a great location for a meeting or a convention. I attended a convention at this hotel recently and was very impressed by the amenities and the service. The hotel is large and has attractive grounds, and it is also conveniently located near the airport. There is plenty of parking directly in front of the hotel, as well as baggage service at the front door. The back porch of the hotel offers a great view over the golf course, and many of the rooms do as well. The food is quite good, and the hotel offers catering services as well as a restaurant. There are also several conference rooms in various sizes that are very attractively decorated. Guests who stay in the hotel can enjoy high speed internet, a fitness center, a and a pool as well as tennis. The on-site restaurant, Hamilton's offers delicious and reasonably priced southern food. There is also a pub that is perfect for drinks with colleagues, with big leather chairs and flat screen TVs. At the convention I attended, the hotel offered light refreshments in the conference rooms, the food was fresh and the service was extremely good. The restaurant also offers room service, which is perfect after a long day of meetings. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the views of the golf course are lovely. If you are looking for the perfect meeting venue in Atlanta, look no further than the Hilton Atlanta Hotel and Conference Center.
