Planted in prairie grasses and flowers with views of Manhattan, the terrace is ideal for an outdoor event such as a wedding ceremony, business meeting gathering, or dance floor under the stars. The terrace is uncovered. Two private rooms adjacent to the terrace are included.
There are two private rooms, the Blue Earth Room and Flint Hills Room, available to rent. Both rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi and AV accommodations. These rooms are ideal for meetings, presentations, rehearsal dinners, graduation parties, and bridal or baby showers. Rental does not include access exhibits. Packages are available that include exhibit access. The classroom may also be rented for educational rentals or birthday parties. A full day rental is $300 with applicable after hours fees.

Rental of Blue Earth Plaza includes exclusive access to the covered patio, event and large green space during your rental times. The Plaza's water feature must remain open to the public. Two public restrooms are available for guest use on the east side of the park. Free parking is located in the Flint Hills Discovery Center lot or the public parking garage adjacent to the Manhattan Conference Center. Use of the Plaza's music-playing capabilities is also included in the rental fee. Alcohol may be served in controlled areas.
