Let our unique maritime history be a part of your special event. Located on the beautiful banks of the Tchefuncte River, the Maritime Museum of Louisiana banquet facilities can be tailored to accommodate any occasion. You select your caterer or serve your own food from our commercial kitchen. Decorate the banquet rooms to your distinct taste. Our main event room has 2400 square feet with additional space on the balcony. An adjoining 1200 square foot room includes additional space and unique exhibits. Included with your banquet room is complimentary admission to the Museum. You and your guests are sure to enjoy the rare ambiance that our Museum offers.

Perfect Venue for our Piano Recital - An Eventective User

I teach 5-18 year olds piano lessons, and we were looking for a classy venue for our 4th recital in 2021. We also wanted to make sure guests felt like they had enough space due to Covid. Everyone thought it was beautiful, and perfect, and it was very affordable. They don’t have a piano at the facility, but no place we’ve ever done recitals at has. I have a very nice Korg digital piano that we used. We didn’t utilize the AV equipment, but plan to at our next performance at the Maritime Museum.

Perfect Place for a Wedding - An Eventective User

The event coordinator for the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum was absolutely amazing to work with and very accommodating. The location at the cottage and dock is perfect for a southern/coastal style wedding. We got amazing pictures and had a great time! I highly recommend this location for anyone doing a wedding or some kind of shower.

Great Place to have an Event - An Eventective User

The museum was a great place for our wedding and reception. We got married on the pier. Boaters would come by and slow down in reverence for our ceremony. We then went to the reception on the second floor of the museum. They had just installed new curtains and everything was beautiful. Laura was very accommodating and very nice. I would recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding or other event.
