My fiance and I will be married in just a few months on the beautiful rooftop garden at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. Very early in our wedding planning process, the Museum stood out to us because of its exceptionally beautiful space and very reasonable rental rates. For about $1000, we're getting both the rooftop garden and the main lobby and lecture hall of the museum for Saturday afternoon and evening. Brides have access to a very generous dressing area, with enough space for the entire bridal party to get ready in. We are having both our ceremony and reception here, and we're very impressed with the catering options at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. Catering is through Fresco, the Museum's in-house restaurant, and all of the food is exquisitely delicious without the ridiculous pricetag often associated with weddings. We were able to customize a vegetarian menu that suited our tastes, and we're also able to bring in a cake from a certified bakery in Madison for no additional fee. The catering menu varies greatly here, so you're able to customize your event to be just perfect; whether you want a standing cocktail reception or a more formal sitdown dinner, you'll be able to make it work. The space itself is also gorgeous. The rooftop garden boasts an unobstructed view of the semi-famous Orpheum Theater (with its gorgeous marquee positioned nicely for photographs!) as well as a nice view of the Capital and campus. Communication from the Museum and their event planners has been impeccable, and we are completely satisfied with the smooth planning!
