We hosted my daughter’s bridal shower tea at the 1859 in April and loved it so much! Kate was amazing! Starting from the initial tour, she asked all the right questions, gave us great ideas and provided names of potential vendors we could use to make the event run smoothly. During the planning process, she was quick to respond to any questions we had regarding the space. The guests couldn’t believe how beautiful and tastefully decorated the venue was. It’s an eclectic mix of preserving cozy and nostalgic old decor with all new kitchen amenities and technological features that make it totally functional for big parties.

The 1859 venue proved to be the ideal setting for our event. Our experience, from the initial consultation to the event's conclusion, was exceptional. The amiable and obliging staff coupled with the immaculate venue left a lasting impression. Kate is incredibly attentive and detailed, ensuring a perfect wedding ceremony with everything in place. The 1859 is a beautiful venue perfect for compact weddings while providing the entire package. Even with only 1 month to prepare, she helped us plan the day and recommended many great resources in the area. I could not ask for a better host. 5 stars!!

The 1859 is a fabulous venue! From the first time I contacted the owner, Kate, to the last moment as we walked out the door, absolutely everything was excellent. The unique and decorative beauty of the venue is welcoming, warm and visually pleasing for any type of event. Kate is a pleasure to work with; professional, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The kitchen and buffet area work so well for the caterer and guests, not to mention how attractively it blends into the ambiance of the venue. Even all the technology worked perfectly. Kudos as well to Angie, who represented the venue the evening of our event. She quietly and efficiently and with such grace made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Thank you Kate and all involved for making this celebration a perfect one!

The 1859 is an amazing and unique event space! We had a party for 80 people and the event was a huge success. Kate was extremely helpful with suggestions to help make the event special. The guests were VERY complimentary of the ambiance, decor and service of the venue! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We loved the 1859 for our wedding ceremony. Kate was quick to help us with our needs and very accommodating. The day of the wedding something always falls through and she found ways to make it just as special. Cannot thank them enough for how beautiful they made our wedding. It was the best choice we made besides getting married!

The 1859 event venue was absolutely perfect for our rehearsal dinner. The size of the event space and areas for the caterer allowed for great service and no inconvenience to the guests.  The island allowed for a carving station at one end, and a pasta station at the other, with all of the other side dishes in the middle – it was perfect! The perfect set up for food, bar and decorations made for a very elegant evening. The staff was extremely helpful, as well.
