I actually was not married here, but my cousin had her wedding at this hotel not too long ago and it was easily the best wedding I have been to; EVER. The lobby is a really swanky place to hang out and has a nice bar to grab a drink before you get your room key. The rooms are something out of a sexy honeymooner's diary with sliding doors for the bathroom, modern furniture, and a balcony to watch the sun set over the river. I caught a glimpse of one of the best rooms at the hotel, which happened to be where my cousin was getting ready the day of her marriage, and it was spectacular. Now what takes the cake for this hotel is their absolutely amazing rooftop. This was where the actual procession took place. Their roof is a restaurant/lounge/bar known as Penthouse808 that is open to the patrons of the city where they hold events like Whiskey and Cigar night on Sundays and other events for the rich and trendy. However, for the purpose of the wedding they cleared all of that out and had the perfect setup. I almost forgot to mention one of the key ingredients to this hotel; it is situated right beside the Queen's Bridge so you get a view of the East River and Manhattan that is to die for on one side and an urban view of Queens on the other. Now, at night the rooftop went from a place of holy matrimony to a place of a whole lot of fun. The two bars opened up, they put out the cabana style seating, pushed the sliding glass roof (to protect in the case of rain) all the way back to expose us to the perfect summer night, and set up the DJ booth. After that, tapas were served, drinks were consumed, and happiness ensued on the dance floor. I still remember this wedding as if it were yesterday. One of the first times that everyone in the family had a blast especially since the hotel staff was so helpful. Other amenities included in the hotel: business meeting rooms, gym, a complimentary shuttle for guests to travel around the city, and much more.
