This room is just off the front entry and is a stately space for additional dinner seating or serving cocktails after your ceremony. Named for the Union General H. Judson Kilpatrick that used the home as headquarters for Reconstruction of the South in 1865. General Kilpatrick gave a pony to daughter Amelia that she named Kilpatrick.

The Holt House has over an acre of lush outdoor space for you and your guests to enjoy. The front lawn is the ideal spot for an outdoor ceremony. Sit a spell with your favorite drink on the brick patio or set up your dance floor and dance the night away under the canopy of oak trees and stars. Meander through the gardens and find a quiet spot or pull up to the bar in Lizzie’s house. No matter where you choose to hold your ceremony or reception, you and your guests will feel like you’ve been transported to another time.

Named for the bride that the Holt House was built for, the Louisa Suite is a beautiful bright and airy space for the bride to prepare for her special day. Located upstairs, the bride and her party will have exclusive access to the entire second floor with three spacious rooms and a full restroom. The Louisa Suite boasts a hospitality station, a hair and makeup prep space, comfortable seating, and plenty of room to spread out while staying away from prying eyes. Just imagine descending the grand staircase when it’s time for your wedding to begin.

Reserved for the groom and his gentlemen to dress and enjoy before the ceremony begins. Named for Dr. William Rainey Holt, the first groom to inhabit the Holt House, this room is located on the first floor and will host a hospitality station, entertainment, and a full restroom.

Adjoining the Kilpatrick Room and the Rainey Suite, this room was originally used by Dr. Holt to see his patients. It can now be used by the groom and his groomsmen to spread out as they get ready on the wedding day. The Doctor’s Office can also be a spacious bar or buffet room to serve your guests.
