Our Intimate Wedding Package is ideal for a group of 50 guests or less. You have the option to use Ashland's 20' x 30' tent at no additional cost or you are free to rent your own. Ashland only provides the grounds for your event--we do not provide any other services. There is no catering kitchen on site so all food will have to prepared off site and then brought in. Due to our residential setting, we do not allow any amplified music. Pricing is one flat rate for the entire rental. Optional add-ons include use of our Keeper's Cottage as a place to get ready for $500 as well as a mansion tour for your guests for $250. If you aren't having your wedding here but still want Ashland to be part of your big day, we generously allow wedding parties to take photos on our grounds. As a private property, we do collect a fee for photography here to help offset grounds maintenance. If the session will just include the bride and groom, the fee is $25. If the entire wedding party is involved, the fee is $100. All wedding photography must be scheduled in advance by calling Ashland and the photographer must wear a photography badge while on site if the shoot takes place during regular operating hours (9:00-5:00). A photography contract must be signed and turned in along with your payment. We accept cash, all major credit cards, and checks made out to The Henry Clay Memorial Foundation. If your wedding party will be arriving in a party bus, it may drop off the wedding party but then must park on the street.

Ashland's historic Keeper's Cottage provides a unique space for your next business meeting or retreat. The Keeper's Cottage was once the residence of Henry Clay's groundskeeper as well as a dormitory for the original University of Kentucky. Today, it houses the business offices of The Henry Clay Memorial Foundation and our indoor meeting space. Two rooms are available on the first floor of the cottage and are handicap accessible. Maximum occupancy for a sit down dinner would be 15 people in each room. Maximum occupancy for one room is 25 people with lecture style seating. Maximum guests for any cottage event is 30. This package reflects a rental during our regular business hours from 9:00am-5:00pm. If you wish to book after 5:00pm, please see our After Hours Meeting Package. The basic rental price is $300. Non-profits receive a special rate of $150.
