Wedding reception ,food was awesome
Stratosphere close to downtown Las Vegas may have lost some of it's luster over the years, but I can speak from VERY recent experience (March, 2011) that this is not the case! I just held a friend's bachelorette party here and it was an excellent experience. The staff at The Stratosphere are very attentive and very nice. The waitresses also don't dress like Playboy bunnies or have to romp around in see-through outfits. They're very knowledgeable and have great recommendations about where to spend your evening, even if you decide to venture away from the hotel itself. We spent the beginning of our wonderful evening having cocktails in a specially roped off area of the lounge at the top of The Stratosphere, above the restaurant dining area. The entire restaurant and lounge turns at a slow pace, giving you and your guests a full on, true panoramic view of Las Vegas. We got there right before the sun was about to set and got to watch the change between dusty, rock lands to glittering show below us. It was breathtaking! We were a group of under 25 women and we enjoyed every minute of the experience during cocktail hour. When darkness fell, we made our way down to the restaurant and took our seats for dinner with a full view of the twinkling lights below us. The food was excellent and our bride was treated to a naughty sundae made by the staff that we didn't even ask for/expect! It was very surprising how high the level of service was. That was the real highlight of the experience.
