About The A.C.L. Building

Constructed between 1920 and 1931 for use as a warehouse by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company, it has now been converted as a staple venue in the heart of downtown Lake City. Formally known as the Askins Building for its ownership by C.B. Askins from 1993 until 2007, the one-story structure is raised on brick piers and features a frame front porch covered by a full-length tin shed roof. The 2,200 square foot "ACL" features rustic, southern charm perfect for receptions & reunions, community gatherings, or markets. This event venue truly embodies the city’s “Make Your Art” slogan, as this rental can be transformed into the perfect facility for any of your needs. This venue does not have heat or air, however, it does offer 2 large sliding barn style doors that you can keep open for air flow.
