The Gathering Spot at Burlington Village is a modern and inclusive event space located in East Knoxville at the heart of Burlington Village. It is housed inside of the 5500 square foot building of the late historic OK Furniture Store, a staple to the Burlington Village neighborhood since the 1920’s. Though the space has undergone much renovation, great effort was made to preserve the original brick, it’s antique 9 ft. door with side lighting, and transom window. The original granite stone concrete flooring has been restored and polished. The columns, which had once supported second story apartments, have been updated with Shou Sugi Ban Bead Boards at the base and Patina Metal at the top, designed and installed by Derek White of Bird on the Wire Studios. The columns now exist to uphold and pay homage to prior craftsmanship. The same materials have been carried to the bar area. The Gathering Spot at Burlington Village is equipped with a fully functional commercial kitchen. It has all the items necessary to prepare, cook and store your full course dinner or light to heavy hors d’oeuvres. We also offer a cash bar to entertain your guest while they enjoy the activities of your event.
