BAND OPTIONS to offer: --- 1 - The New Standard, which we offer as a quintet, quartet or trio, honors the style of jazz standards with a modern approach by reworking the music of contemporary artists (such as Sting, Phoebe Snow, Roberta Flack) as well as revisioning the music of artists such as Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and other great jazz ladies. --- 2 - The Motor City Revue is an 11-piece band covering popular and rare Motown & Stax tunes, plus other rock and soul classics and striving for an authentic sound. Our band consists of a stellar cast of female and male vocalists, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums and a 5-piece horn section. The band is made up of some of the most talented live and studio musicians/singers in the NYC area. Whether it is a private or corporate event, theater or concert, MCR never fails to deliver a great show that will have your guests dancing and singing along. Naturally we are capable of other types of music as well, jazz, classic rock, etc. We can also supply cocktail music if you like - solo, duo, trio, quartet, with or without vocals, and using a variety of instruments. We can also add a DJ to the show package if you like, to allow for even great variety of music as well as an MC to make introductions and DJ during band breaks. Please let me know if you'd like additional pricing for DJ, cocktail music, or other band configurations.
