My wife and I recently got married at the Patrick C. Haley Mansion in Joliet, Illinois (just outside of Chicago) and it was the best decision we ever made! The staff was excellent, it was an all-in-one venue, and was the most beautiful option available in all of Chicagoland! First of all, the staff far exceeded my expectations. After finding the venue on the website, we decided to meet with the staff, which walked us through the entire venue. They were there every step of the way as we made our decisions on table settings, food, and decorations. One particular moment that sticks out was when we were having our ceremony outside. It had rained recently, and our aisle runner was getting wet and stuck to everyone's feet - they made the decision to roll it up before the bride and I walked down, saving us from any embarrassing falls! The venue is also an ""all-in-one"" wedding stop, where they will do the ceremony AND reception. The ceremony can take place outside in their beautiful garden, or it can take place in their fabulous conservatory/ballroom, which doubles as where the reception can take place. Both are beautiful in their own right! The mansion itself, of course, is open for all to be able to mingle and look at throughout! Of course, it is by far the most beautiful venue around. You sense a feeling of history when you are inside - pictures of other couples that have gotten married are present in many of the rooms and walls of the staircases, as are numerous vintage furniture and decorative objects. When we looked around at other venues, they just didn't compare. The Patrick C. Haley mansion was the best!
