I got Married in May of 2011 at The Cummer Museum in the top tier garden and it was amazing. The gardens were in full bloom and it was just naturally beautiful. It was so easy, the scenery was already so breath taking that it required very minimal decorations, which as a busy bride was a nice break. The Cummer Museum includes the chair set up and break down in the cost so I wasn’t stuck renting chairs. The museums event coordinator was extra helpful, she even went out of her way to help me find a violinist for my big day. We were allowed to be in the Gardens from around 4pm till about 8pm. We were provided with a room to get ready with a mirror and tables and chairs. Since it was hot the day of my wedding they even allowed for our guest to sit inside, in one of there auditoriums till it was time so they wouldn’t have to sit out side till the sun had gone down a bit and had cooled down some. The price to rent the top garden was around $500 which wasn’t to steep but to rent the bottom garden it was around $2,000 which I thought was a little high, now granted the bottom garden is right on the water so you are paying for the view. The museum and the gardens also made for fantastic wedding pictures. The ponds and vine arches provided a perfect back drop for our photos. All in all I would recommend the Cummer Museum to anyone looking for an easy, low key, yet beautiful garden wedding. You just can't go wrong with the elegance, class and beauty this place provides. I loved my wedding day and I couldn’t have chosen a better venue.
