Getting married at the Indianapolis Zoo and White River Gardens is the most beautiful experience we could have possibly chosen for our wedding and reception. There are several different places that you can rent out for your wedding; we had the actual wedding underneath the dolphin tanks, in the dolphin dome. We had the reception in the Hilbert conservatory, although we nearly had it in the gardens because the flowers were in bloom at the time. The venue is slightly pricy to rent, however our guests were amazed and amused with how interesting and unique our wedding was. They provided just about everything we needed including decorations, chairs, arrangements, and even had party planners that helped us make our day super special. One thing we especially liked was that the caterers that work with the zoo were flexible and happy to work with our dietary restrictions. We don't eat meat and had a few guest with special needs that the caterers happily worked around. The zoo was happy, considerate, clean, and a very unique experience. I would be more than happy to have made this activity again since we had such a magical experience the first time. Another thing we really loved is that our guests were able to meander around and enjoy themselves in the zoo in between and after the actual wedding and ceremony. It was family-friendly and the kids in my family really enjoyed going to the zoo and a wedding with cake in the same day!
