These terms and conditions outline the agreement between the wedding officiant ("Officiant") and the engaged couple ("Couple") for the performance of wedding ceremony services. By engaging the services of the Officiant, the Couple agrees to the following terms and conditions:
Services Provided:
a. The Officiant agrees to officiate the wedding ceremony at the agreed-upon date, time, and location.
b. The Officiant will provide guidance and support in creating a customized ceremony script, including vows and any desired rituals or readings.
c. The Officiant will conduct the ceremony in a professional and respectful manner.
Ceremony Details:
a. The Couple agrees to provide the Officiant with all necessary information and documents required for the legal solemnization of the marriage, including valid identification and marriage license.
b. The Couple will communicate their ceremony preferences, such as religious traditions, rituals, readings, or any special requests, well in advance of the wedding date.
c. The Couple understands that the Officiant may offer suggestions and recommendations for the ceremony, but the final decisions will be made by the Couple.
Payment:
a. The Couple agrees to pay the Officiant the agreed-upon fee for their services, as outlined in the invoice provided.
b. A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure the Officiant's services, with the remaining balance due prior to the wedding ceremony.
c. Any additional expenses incurred by the Officiant, such as travel or accommodation costs, will be discussed and agreed upon by both parties in advance.
Cancellation and Rescheduling:
a. In the event of a cancellation, the Couple agrees to notify the Officiant as soon as possible. The deposit or any paid fees may be non-refundable, depending on the terms agreed upon.
b. If the wedding date needs to be rescheduled, the Couple will notify the Officiant at the earliest opportunity to determine the Officiant's availability for the new date. Additional fees may apply for rescheduled ceremonies.
Conduct and Communication:
a. The Couple and the Officiant agree to maintain open and respectful communication throughout the planning process and during the ceremony.
b. The Officiant reserves the right to decline or withdraw their services if the Couple engages in any behavior or requests that are unethical, illegal, discriminatory, or violate the Officiant's personal beliefs or code of conduct.
Liability:
a. The Officiant shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense incurred by the Couple or their guests during or as a result of the wedding ceremony.
b. The Couple agrees to indemnify and hold the Officiant harmless against any claims, demands, or actions arising out of or relating to the wedding ceremony.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
a. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the wedding ceremony takes place.
b. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
By engaging the services of the Officiant, the Couple acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
