If a loved one has passed and the deceased's family is in need of a venue for a repast or a post-funeral reception or wake, or a celebration of life in lieu of a funeral, Butternut Event Centre is available in whatever capacity that you need us.
We are available to set up, provide white or black linens, cater in food and beverages, and take all of the pressure off the family. If the family would rather handle all of the details, this is possible as well as a DIY event.

We do not allow live bands, or pay-at-door events. Note that Holland Charter Township has a noise ordinance that all music must end at 11 p.m. No exceptions!

We offer a weekend rate for labor intensive celebrations. This allows those who need to begin setting up and decorating on Friday, so that Saturday can be left for enjoying your celebration without worry, to enjoy your celebration with family and friends, without being exhausted from an early morning set up and an evening take down, and cleaning. The Weekend rate also allows Sundays to return to dispose of trash, take down decorations, tables and chairs, and leave time to clean the entire venue and replenish supplies for the next event. All cleaning supplies, rags, paper towels, vacuum(s), trash can liners and dumpster are provided to assist in the process.
For those who are getting married, it is perfect to host the rehearsal dinner, wedding reception, and the day after wedding brunch all at one venue, at one cost.
