Our elegant ballroom can accommodate 200 seated guests with a dance floor and 300 people for a stand up/cocktail reception. The ballroom features a vaulted ceiling with vintage light features, a hardwood floor and a performance stage. Arched French doors line the ballroom and overlook our north lawn and Heritage Garden. Guests enter the ballroom through a gracious foyer featuring a fireplace and an heirloom desk.

Our Heritage Garden adjacent to the Community House provides an unusual setting for events in spring, summer and early fall. An ever-changing panorama of color, this beautiful retreat is a grand extension of the ballroom and weather permitting allows guests an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the garden along a winding brick pathway.
The garden remains a living heritage to Jesse Lowe Smith, a beloved school superintendent of Highland Park who for more than 30 years guided the education of the children of Highland Park and instilled in them a sense of national and community pride. The garden also is a welcome respite to the community as a place for study, relaxation and enjoyment.
