I am a professional harpist in the Hamilton area. I've been playing for over thirty years, and have many hundreds of weddings, recitals and concerts, receptions, dinners, festivals and goodness knows what else in my experience. It would be my pleasure to provide background or featured music for your event. I specialise in Baroque, French Romantic and Celtic music, and also play original arrangements of popular folk music such as Simon & Garfunkel and Leonard Cohen. The latter are available as instrumental solos or with vocals. I also can improvise to suit your event, or learn music that you have your heart set on. I also perform this range of repertoire with a cellist as The Vagabond Duet; our arrangements are original and beautiful blends of these two rich instruments. We also perform together trading vocal harmonies and guitar, in addition to the harp and cello. I have three instruments for you to choose from, a concert harp, a celtic harp that sits on the floor, and a small harp I can wear on my body that nevertheless has a beautiful, bright and resonant sound. It's important to me to cocreate the music program with you however much you would like: we can plan the music for your event together - meeting to discuss repetoire is including in my wedding package - or, I will make an appropriate selection that fits whatever style you are hoping for.
