**5-Star Review of The Playwright Irish Pub Restaurant, Hamden, CT** On a whim, Angel and I decided to visit The Playwright for breakfast one Sunday in February 2024. We had never been there before, but from the moment we stepped through the doors, it was as if we were magically transported to a charming, out-of-the-way pub in Ireland. The decor was authentic, and the folk music playing in the background made it feel like coming home for the first time. As we were seated, I immediately turned to Angel and said, "We have to have our commitment ceremony here!" We were introduced to Eamonn, the owner, who graciously gave us a tour of the banquet room. I was hooked. Over the next nine months, we stayed in close contact with Eamonn as our plans for the ceremony came together. He was open to all of our ideas and even offered a few suggestions of his own that made the event even more special. On the day of our ceremony, Eamonn and his staff were nothing short of amazing. From helping us decorate to making sure we, as the couple, had everything we needed, their dedication was evident. Their attention to our guests was also on point; everyone was well taken care of throughout the event. The food was outstanding—we even took home leftovers! Plus, the cost for hosting 40 people was manageable, fitting comfortably within our budget for hall rental and catering services. Angel and I cannot begin to express how happy we are with our experience at The Playwright. We highly recommend this gem, not only for events but even for a casual date night. Thank you, Eamonn and the entire staff, for making our day truly memorable!

The Playwright is the perfect place for your next event. The staff was incredibly nice, the food was amazing, and the venue was the perfect spot to host my friend's wedding shower. Truly I can't sing their praises enough. Thank you to everyone at the Playwright who made this event a success!
