Contract Terms
In signing this contract, the client acknowledges that he/she has read, understands, and will comply with the terms explained in the CHEF360 Catering menu packet, including but not limited to the following:
1. A signed contract and 50% NONREFUNDABLE deposit are due in order to guarantee your date and CHEF360 service.
2. CHEF360 Catering will NOT HOLD TENTATIVE DATES LONGER THAN 7 DAYS AFTER A TASTING. CHEF360 Catering will make TWO ATTEMPTS to follow up with clients after sending a proposal. If client does not respond, CHEF360 Catering will release the date.
3. Events must provide a guaranteed guest count 10 calendar days before the event date. This guaranteed number will be the MINIMUM upon which a client's charges will be based.
4. Half of the remaining balance is due ninety (90) days before the event date. This payment is NONREFUNDABLE. The balance for all events, including the estimated consumption costs for beverages, will be paid at least seven (7) business days before the event.
5. If the client cancels an event after the deposit has been paid or after the second payment has been paid, the client will receive no monies back from CHEF360 Catering. Client can, however, at the discretion of CHEF360 Catering, move their event within a 6 month window from the date of the original event. In a case such as this, monies paid by the client will be applied to the new date.
6. A 3.8% processing fee will be applied to all totals paid with a credit/debit card.
7. CHEF360 Catering MUST have a credit/debit card number on file. Any outstanding amounts owed by the client will be processed on this card, unless client contacts CHEF360 Catering with other arrangements. Any payments for outstanding balances not received by CHEF360 Catering within 2 days after the event will be processed to this card, regardless of client's instructions.
8. Client understands the force majeure clause in that CHEF360 Catering is not held responsible or liable for the following to include, but is not limited to, any Acts of Mother Nature, situations involving the venue, or political acts as listed in the CHEF360 Catering packet.
9. Due to the seasonal availability of some items in the menus, Chef may make substitutions as needed in order to ensure the highest quality items at your event.
10. Due to DHEC regulations, CHEF360 Catering can box up to 4 to-go meals for clients. However, we cannot box up all leftover food for guests in attendance. We try very hard to limit excess food, and are happy to make sure the bride and groom or booking agents have a to-go box. However, we will not pack up leftovers for guests.
