Simple Mixers promote opportunity to change partners, and program can be proceeded by a brief instruction on dance steps and styling. Plus Carl is often available as a dance host for solo ladies.

This program consists of fun, easy dances from America's Heritage. It is 2 hours long and starts with simple non-partner dances that anyone can do with a short period of instruction. Carl uses a wireless mic and demonstrates all dances in the center of the floor, adjusting the program to the ability of the dancers to assure maximum participation and enjoyment. Basic contra, square dance, and circle figures are introduced, with couple, mixer, and non-partner dances included throughout the program. With 2 short breaks for refreshments and announcements, the dancing recommences with fun novelty dances such as the Hokey Pokey, Macarena, and Chicken Dance. And it all concludes with the traditional Virginia Reel and Big Circle Dance.

Weekly sessions are 1 hour long and conducted at client's home or other location. Couple receives MP3 file of edited music, along with syllabus of dance steps, and may video lesson for practice reference.
