Date Reservation Deposit
All events must be secured at the time of booking with a Date Reservation Deposit equal to 50% of the balance. The remaining balance of the Daily Facility Fee is due 30 days prior to the Event Date.
Damage Deposit
All bookings require a Damage Deposit in the amount of $500.00 in the form of a check. If there are no damages to the venue, renter will receive the damage deposit back in full.
Onsite Security Fee
All events with alcohol served require on-site security provided by off-duty City of Good Hope Police Officers. The Cottages on Mergendollar will secure the services of these officers for the Renter. The security officer is to be paid directly by the Renter at the conclusion of the event at the rate of $50.00 per hour, four hour minimum.
Cancellation Fees
All cancellations must be made in writing and submitted to Owner as soon as possible. For cancellations received more than six months (120 days) prior to the Rental Date, Owner shall return one-half (50%) of the Initial Deposit to Renter and retain one-half (50%) as liquidated damages. For cancellations received 30 to 90 days prior to Rental Date, Owner retains deposit. For cancellations less than 30 days to wedding, Owner retains the entire payment less the damage deposit and cleaning fees.
