Fr. Marek seeks to affirm for all couples the recognition and blessing of their union, regardless of prior marital status, gender of partners or diversity of families. He was ordained a Catholic priest in 2002, but now he serves as a hospice chaplain and assists at Austin area churches when he is able. He has pastored several churches and was featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the National Catholic Reporter.
