I would recommend my wedding venue to anyone who is interested in having a one stop experience. My venue was the Harrington Inn & spa in Geneva, IL. This is a historical hotel on the Fox River with a European feel. You can have your ceremony and reception in one location. The outdoor ceremony location is a beautifully landscaped area with greenery and a fountain. It is enclosed by the lovely brick structure of the hotel. There is a path on both sides for the bridal party to walk down and meet in the center of the grass to proceed down the aisle. The alter faces the Fox River which gives a stunning backdrop for pictures. Incase if bad weather the ceremony can be moved right inside the banquet hall which is also brick and has beautiful French doors. The ceremony can be set up to face the French doors facing the River or the brick wall with three wrought iron balconies that also have French door. The banquet space can hold up to 250 people and is very adaptive to all color pallets. The dance floor and bar are located up a few steps and can look over the banquet hall through the French door balconies. Sound can travel easily to fill the entire space. My guest could not stop talking about how great the food was. The event coordinators are wonderful. They work with you for the whole process and they set up everything for you and communicate with your vendors. There is no need to pay for a wedding planner with this team. My friends and family could also get ready at the hotel and stay the night. We had a complementary room on our wedding night and it was gorgeous. There are fireplaces and Jacuzzis in every room, very romantic. The rooms and other aspects of the hotel offer additional photo opportunites. Mu wedding easily looked $10,000 more extravagantly than it was.
