The Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth is a lovely place to hold a wedding. Especially in the spring when the flowers are fragrant and in full bloom. The Lower Rose Garden Wedding package is remarkable. The wedding takes place in the beautiful Oval Garden and is abundant with fresh, colorful roses. The package includes 100 guests and the garden is most definitely large enough to seat them comfortably. I was married in this same location last Spring and I cannot express how happy I am with the decision to have my wedding there. The pictures turned out beautiful and you could see the flowers in full bloom throughout the entire wedding. Holding a wedding in this location is pricey, and there was a pretty long waiting list when planning my wedding but I do not regret the money that was spent or the wait because it totally surpassed my expectations. If you are looking to have an outdoor wedding, you can not do better than the scenery at the Botanical Gardens. It has elegant walkways of stone with beautiful stone arches. There are plenty of trees and shaded areas accompanying the sunlit paths. The landscape is breathtaking with all the beautiful, fragrant colors. As with any outdoor wedding, there is always the risk for thunderstorms in Texas, especially in the Spring but other than that the process of booking and planning are painless and run smoothly. There are also cheaper packages available to suit your needs with smaller numbers of guests and also different gardens, depending on your preferences. I would definitely recommend looking into holding your outdoor wedding at the Botanical Gardens located in Fort Worth. It is conveniently located near downtown and there are plenty of places close by for the wedding reception.
I spent several years as a wedding photographer in the Dallas/Forth Worth metroplex. One of my favorite venues to photograph at was the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. The Botanic Gardens have a collection of 11 gardens- the Japanese Garden is a particular favorite for weddings. Each of the 11 gardens has a distinct feel and atmosphere- you are bound to find out that you love. The Japanese Garden brings together all the elements of the outdoors in a perfect balance of stone, wood, earth and water. It is a truly beautiful location and features multiple Koi ponds, a waterfall, the Pavilion, and the Moon Viewing Deck. Another favorite location in the Botanic Gardens is the Rose Garden, which consists of 2 parts, the lower rose garden, and the oval rose garden. The Rose Garden features a large tiered walkway with assorted rose collections lining the large central isle. At the top of the structure is a large pavilion and the base hosts a reflecting pond and a grand lawn. This location is truly a ""princess bride"" location. The Botanic Garden's wedding rates are very reasonable: $350 for a 2-hour period in all locations outside of the Japanese Gardens. Inside the Japanese Gardens, small weddings (under 25) are covered under the typical $350 fee, however larger groups are required to use either the Moon Viewing Deck or Pavilion, which seat up to 250 guests. These larger venues are reserved for a 6-hour time period and pricing starts at $2,500. The Botanic Garden's have options for everybody, no matter your style, budget, or space needs.
When people think of Fort Worth, I know the first thing that comes to their minds is stockyards and cowboys. But there are also a few gorgeous places scattered throughout the metroplex where you can have a lovely, intimate wedding and reception without running into a slew of tourists. My daughter and her husband got married at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, and we couldn't have been happier with the service we received from the staff at our venue. Alison (my daughter) knew she wanted something outdoors, in nature, but also affordable and accessible to family coming from around the state. The wedding took place in the early evening on a Saturday, beneath a canopy set up with the assistance of the garden staff. Specifically, the ceremony was held in the Oval Garden area, although it was quite a hard decision because each of the available locations were so lovely. There are thousands of species of exotic flowers, and we were lucky enough to spot a few hummingbirds during the reception! It was perfect. We would have been happy with any of the locations they offered us on their sprawling campus. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone desiring an outdoor wedding that will offer lifelong memories ... without breaking the bank!
