Taylor Ranch was the perfect venue for our daughter's fall destination wedding. Its setting for a scenic outdoor ceremony was ideal: no traffic noise, a pastoral view, a calm lake and a choice of which spot on the grounds that the bride (a wedding photographer herself!) and groom preferred. Our on-location day-of planner, Ashley Oliver, was especially attentive during the week prior to our event for 184 guests. So much so that we arrived confident we were in good hands, and my husband and I (and our bride!) could focus on the experience of the day rather than the logistics. Ashley took care of everything! Ashley made sure the indoor reception decor was set up just as the bride instructed. The permanent lighting inside the venue was perfect for photography and for the guests. The simple tealights and natural decor (florist) on the tables accented the look. The weather was mild enough to open the large wall windows that looked onto the lake. When the temperature rose on the dance floor, the light breeze coming in cooled everyone off, and the open windows provided a spectacular view as the evening progressed. Ashley made sure our guests with special needs (one with a walker and one with a wheelchair) were easily accommodated, providing a golf cart for transport from the parking area to the ceremony and to the reception. Restrooms also accommodated the these guests. Having no prior experience with Taylor Ranch, we had to trust the menu choices Taylor Ranch offered. Their chef did not disappoint. Our guests raved about the charcuterie appetizers, grilled chicken, barbecue, slaw and mashed potatoes that we selected. And Ashley welcomed our own family spin on the menu by adding a family favorite salad and dessert. The groom selected his favorite draft beers and wine, and Ashley made sure we had plenty of food and beverages to serve our guests. All the dining and beverage staff we encountered were hospitable. Vic the DJ did everything we requested, as we were told he would be as vocal or as subtle as we required. He very capably provided sound for the outdoor ceremony, When we lost our dinner guests to the gorgeous sunset that appeared, Vic chose just the right dance music to entice them back inside after giving them time to shoot their favorite wedding favors - sunset selfies! He read our crowd well to select dance music from the bridal couple's playlist. Our florist, Andraya Northrup of floraweddingandeventflowers.com, assessed the venue's and the bridal couple's vibe and chose a wild flower woodsy look for our event, using wood logs from trees at our home in Virginia. This is a great place for any type of event. We come each year for a corporate event and always have a great time. The staff is friendly, the food and atmosphere are great. We have also attended a couple of wedding that have been equally as nice. I would reccommend Taylor Ranch for any type of event you are having.

You couldn't ask for a better or more beautiful spot than this for a wedding! My daughter and her new husband were so happy with the way their wedding turned out here. The staff is wonderful to work with to ensure that everything turned out wonderful!
