The Gopher Hole Pub re-opened in July 2014 as the latest milestone in the nearly 40-year restoration project at the Weatherford Hotel. “It has the atmosphere of a 1920s speakeasy-style game room,” said hotel co-owner Sam (Pamela Green) Taylor. With its original street-level windows and massive stone archways, the new Gopher Hole offers a beautiful and unique atmosphere for an event as well as amenities such as billiards, darts and a photo booth. It is accessible from the outside, as well as the inside, and showcases Flagstaff’s first bar that was set up after Prohibition ended in 1933.

Fantastic Service and venue - An Eventective User

We held our son's "welcome reception/rehearsal dinner" for about 50 people in the Zane Grey room. Our guests enjoyed the food and drinks and especially the downtown Flagstaff location with views from the wraparound balcony. Prices were straightforward and explained. The two staff helping on the day of the event were very helpful with great attention to detail. My only nitpick is that the venue does not have an elevator. We had an 88 year old family patriarch that we slowly helped up the stairs.

FANTASTIC, Historic Venue - An Eventective User from Phoenix, AZ

The Weatherford offered a wonderful setting for our company's anniversary celebration. With 3 floors and several onsite venues, they provided a plethora of options to suit our needs. I cannot overstate the historic charm of this hotel. The owners, Henry and Sam, were amazing hosts. A+ staff. Will definitely book again.
