Located in the heart of Midtown Detroit’s Cultural Center, the Michigan Science Center is available for large scale events (up to 2,000 guests) and intimate after-hours gatherings. We also offer special rates with private areas at the museum during our public hours. Pricing is subject to the time of the event (time of day, day of the week, etc.).

This space is located on the lowest level of the Science Center. This space is best utilized for birthday parties and as an eating space. Although the space can be moved around for other presentation style events. We can hold up to 150 guests in this space comfortably.

This space is located on the middle level of the Science Center. You can view this space from the main level, and is great for open presentations. There is open stadium style seating, and can seat 150-200 guests.

This space is located on the middle level of the Science Center. This is a basic, box style room that can be set up however you would like. This space is empty as is, and can be setup with tables, chairs and a podium and microphone at the front of the room for small presentations and workshops. This room can comfortably hold 25-30 guests. This space is great for a more closed off birthday space for cake!

Our IMAX theatre is currently being renovated (slated to be completed later in summer '22!). Once rennovated this large space is great for shows, presentations and ceremonies. There is seating for 230 guests, with limited handicap accessibility, in typical movie theatre seating. We do have pre-programmed shows, and can create custom content.
