The Brown Palace is a favorite place for Denver locals to indulge themselves with spa services, afternoon tea, or dinner at one of the four restaurants. The historical hotel is my preferred choice for impressing people from out of town, and I have often taken advantage of the many special events, such as ghost tours or holiday champagne toasts, that they offer. It is a beautiful hotel and the people who work there take a lot of pride in what they do, and provide excellent service. A friend recently asked me to be her minister at her wedding, and I was very excited that it would be occurring at the Brown Palace. The setting is beautiful, with a very refined Victorian theme. The Brown Palace concierge helped with on-site planning, including catering, flowers, photography, color choices, the reception and had answers for every question we had. The staff had a lot of experience with weddings and were able to problem solve before we had even considered problems arising. Just being in the Brown Palace gives one a sense of historical glamor, and the helpfulness of the staff, along with the opulence of the surroundings, makes a wedding feel extremely elegant.
