About The Peter Allen House

On your wedding day, walk down the aisle as you also step back in time at the historic, award winning Peter Allen House. Steeped in history, the home, dating back to 1726, is on the National and State historic registry. This elegant, mountain stone landmark situated on mostly wooded acres, surrounded by several semi-formal outdoor garden rooms with cascading ponds and bridged waterways, has been graciously hosting weddings for over a decade. Voted by Harrisburg Magazine for 11 years as the “Reader’s Choice” for the Best Outdoor Reception Site, the Peter Allen House can accommodate as few as 2 and as many as 275 guests. The grounds boast handsome outdoor structures, including a carriage house, a 2 story stone stable, a timeless stone gazebo and a quaint, picturesque honeymoon cottage. Throughout the seasons, the property abounds with foliage and flowers spring up and around the gazebo, overflowing the many large urns and climbing up and over the trellises and arbors.
