After researching and visiting at least a dozen venues in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for our wedding ceremony my wife and I finally settled on the Texas Discovery Gardens located just south-east of downtown Dallas in the Fair Park area. Our ceremony commenced on the 30th of May when most of the flowers were in bloom, the trees were green, and the weather was warm. I could not have been happier with the wedding!! As you scan the beautiful outdoor setting there are blue ponds sprinkled with green lilly-pads, crystal-clear blue fountainss, blooming flowers of every color imaginable, and no sign of the hustling, bustling city within which you are nestled. After the outdoor ceremony we moved inside to the spacious banquet hall. The hall is gorgeous. Hardwood floors & windows that go from floor to ceiling (about 30' high) make this hall a perfect venue for an extravagant, classy wedding. There was room to seat 150 people, a table for the cake, a table for gifts, multiple tables for the buffet, a stage for the DJ, and room for all 150 people to fit on the dance floor. All-in-all I would highly recommend the Texas Discovery Gardens for a Dallas/Ft. Worth wedding venue.
