What better place to have your wedding than a beautiful garden full of the most georgeous flowers and the perfume of roses and gardeni's and all other exotic flower's you can imagine, filling the air and creating the most romantic sweet smelling atmosphere. Thats just what I experienced when I atteneded my sisters wedding at the Dallas Arbaretum and had a wonderful experience start to finish. The staff were all so helpful and friendly throughout the planning of the event. You really felt that they truly cared and were very accomodating to anything we wanted or requested. The beauty of the wedding was breathtaking. It was a simplistic yet stunning, simple in that it took place outdoors and we were surrounded in nature, but stunning and beautiful being we were surrounded by the most gorgeus buquet of flowers and the light of the candles flickering outside catching various shadows throught the evening. I was in charge of most of the setup and I worked with many staff members, all who were very helpful and a true pleasure to work with; but Cheryl was in charge of the outdoor setup and I cant say enough wonderful things, without her we could not have pulled off one of the most important nights in my sisters life. I would recommend Dallas Arbaretum to anyone looking for a special place to have an unforgettable wedding.
Weddings at the Dallas Arboretum in the spring or summer are beautiful. I had my wedding there last spring, and the spring flowers and plants were breath taking. No matter what color choice you have as a wedding theme, the arboretum is sure to have a plant or flower in that particular colors. There are vast areas of shade or sun, depending on what type of lighting you desire. The arboretum is very spacious and has ample room for parking for guests and visitors. The staff there are ready to accommodate you, and the entire setting is extremely romantic. There are fountains, benches and such a wide assortment of nature and pathways, making the arboretum a great place for a visit, date or wedding. Since there are so many areas to choose from, deciding what you want as your backdrop is both intoxicating and exciting. There is also an indoor are you can choose from in case of weather, temperature or if you just desire an indoor location with a beautiful outdoor area. You can also have your reception in the outdoor area where a beautiful body of water is visible. This makes for a lovely sunset, and a beautiful ending to your special day. The view near the water of Dallas is spectacular, and so very peaceful, or you may choose the gazebo area for the wedding. There are so many pathways, breath taking viewing areas and wonderful areas to have a wedding. I highly recommend it for a wedding you and your guests both will never forget. This is also an incredibly place to propose, or even go for a honeymoon if one chooses not to have their wedding there.
At first glace the Dallas Arboretum seems like many others, but once inside you quickly change your mind. My sister was married here. Her now husband, proposed here and it was a must have location. They said the sites were amazing, considering the Texas heat. I was honestly surprised when I first saw it and began helping her with the wedding plans. The staff were most friendly and even offer assistance at setting up. They also helped us be different. Many people get married here and it can all look the same after a while. With their help, we added a little extra flavor. For anyone going here to propose or to arrange a wedding, I would recommend that you visit the venue in advance. There are many planners in the are willing to assist you with the whole setup and do not forget to get with the staff. There are very few limitations and I have seen some exotic weddings in my time. My sister had a trained exotic bird to fly in with the rings and a little paper that had their vows on it. There are very few things that I would be disagreeable with about the Dallas Arboretum. The heat is normal and uncontrollable, but tents will go a long way. Then despite being a difficult place to park, the Arboretum is a fantastic venue with unimaginable potential. A bride, her family, her friends, and anyone in attendance will leave talking about it. Pictures will be all over Facebook, Twitter, and any other social media site available. It was amazing!
