About Governor Sprague Mansion

The Governor Sprague Mansion served as the majestic home of one of our country's leading families in 19th century industry. The original 1790's farmhouse was enlarged in 1864 to allow for lavish entertaining by the politically connected Sprague family which had ties to the Lincoln administration. The Cranston Historical Society would like to invite you to host your next meeting, party, luncheon, or other special event in one of our two facilities that are available for rental. The Mansion can host: 95 guests reception-style; up to 60 guests sit-down event; up to 64 guests conference type seating can be arranged. Use of first floor ballroom area, dining room, pub room, kitchen facilities. Rare 1880s Steinway Grand Piano available for event at an additional fee. 6ft & 4ft tables/chairs to accommodate up to 64 guests available at no charge. Handicap accessible first floor, entrance ramp in rear of museum. Parking in back of museum & street parking.
