If you're looking for a place to host your next major party or event, I strongly recommend that you consider PromoWest Pavilion, the concert venue in Columbus, Ohio. Although PromoWest typically hosts major label recording artists for concerts both indoors and out, the facility can also be rented for school dances, corporate functions, or just large private parties. The most significant advantage to PromoWest, aside from its size, is that the venue has a perfect set-up for socializing while still drawing focus to a centralized area (the stage). You can have your DJ set up on the stage and use the floor for dancing, or you can play an ongoing PowerPoint slideshow on the screen and dance to music over the PA system. Alternatively, if you don't like dancing, you can have a presenter use the stage. The bar serves unlimited soda (included in the price of reserving the venue), and you can also pay for catering so your guests can have snacks. For adult parties, you can also arrange for alcohol service, including beer on tap, wine, and hard liquors. Compared to other venues, PromoWest can be expensive (the price varies according to the time of year), but the party I hosted at the facility was universally enjoyed (or so my friends continue to tell me). I was impressed with the service, the set-up, the ease of parking and access (right across the street), and the quality of the sound system. In short, I had a great experience at PromoWest and would recommend it to anyone.
