About Stardust Retreat

Stardust Retreat is one of the most unique retro experiences you can have! Two mid-century modern houses totaling 5,000 square feet offer six bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, situated next door to each other on more than three wooded acres. Step back in time with these two stunning hillside 1950s-era Mid-Century Modern homes, filled with mid-century vintage furnishings and art, overlooking the charming town of Coleman with stunning hilltop views for miles. Stardust Retreat offers indoor and outdoor space for small weddings, birthday/anniversary/graduation parties, corporate events, and other types of events. In addition to the indoor space in the two houses and the four acres of hilltop wooded outdoor space, we also offer overnight accommodations from the one-bedroom Hollywood Glam Suite, to the two-bedroom Loft, to the three-bedroom Atomic Ranch House, sleeping a total of up to 14.

Step back in time into an amazing 1958 MCM masterpiece that has been thoroughly preserved in its original form and filled with authentic mid-century furnishings, decor and art. The entrance greets you with a fun aqua wall featuring vintage photographs from the house. Two spacious living areas are separated by a kitchen that is pure Brady Bunch fabulousness. The Terrace House was built in 1958 for town jeweler Earle Smith and his family. The Loft occupies the entire second floor of this home, and has been completely renovated from its late-1950s origins into a modern beauty. The airy space commands stunning views from floor-to-ceiling wraparound windows over gleaming hardwood floors. The mid-century aesthetic has been kept, while bringing in contemporary amenities with fresh colors and stylish fixtures. The loft was once the garage apartment of the original house, as a place for J.E. McDaniel and his cronies to drink whiskey, smoke cigars and discuss running the town.
