About The Oaks Lakeside
The Oaks Lakeside is a turn-of-the-century Estate with a backdrop of the gorgeous Chippewa Lake. Our waterfront venue offers Restaurant and Event Facilities to couples seeking a unique, one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
Facilities and Capacity -
Couples can welcome up to 200 guests to their Wedding Day Celebration. The circular waterfront Pagoda hosts romantic ceremonies with the lake as the backdrop. Our private Event Facility has two floors, windows along the back of the room that overlooks the lake, and lush gardens along with a covered terrace that serves as the perfect location for your cocktail hour and mingling.
Services Offered -
The Oaks has a full-time Event Liason, an Event Staff dedicated to weddings, along with an expert Culinary Team to cater to you and your guests on your Special Day.
Other Services -
Our Estate can host other events for couples aside from Ceremonies and Receptions. Couples can also use our venue for Bridal Showers, Rehearsal Dinners, and Engagement Parties.
History -
The Estate was founded in the late 1800s and originally named for the five mighty trees on the front lawn. Five Oaks soon boasted a barn, carriage house, boathouse, and formal gardens. The two interior fireplaces were created with stones from around the world. The estate was operating as a dining establishment when purchased in 1961 and was sold after the second owner’s passing in 2003. Under its new ownership, it gained popularity as a wedding and events venue on Lake Chippewa's shores.
