In the business of home design for many decades and with extensive experience creating memorable events for friends and the community, it was a natural next step for Nicole, Sage, Sara, and Robin to reimagine the Nantucket Building into a spectacular new downtown venue called The Westport. While pondering the perfect name for the event center may have been drawn out and extensive, when they saw it, they knew it was right. Sage says the name came about while they were hanging a piece of art at The Westport. The art was a map of coastal New England and like a treasure map movie, the name illuminated itself to all four pairs of eyes as if sent from the storied wood beams themselves. With almost fifty years in a family business, the women behind The Westport bring the same attention to detail that one appreciates from a small, locally owned business. The space may be grand, but the feeling will always be centered around family and their client’s unique tastes.
