My wife and I got married in July of 2010. I we lived in Schaumburg at the time and we knew that we wanted a downtown, central venue for our wedding. My wife is very classy and we wanted a place that was going to be classy also. We looked around for quite some time before making our decision, and finally we settled on the Waldorf Astoria, Chicago. When we called about the ballroom, the staff was very pleasant. They were kind and considerate and asked us several different questions to determine what we needed. They explained all the services they offered, and we were able to decide from there. When we got to the hotel, we were amazed. The lobby is unbelievably beautiful and elegant. The front desk staff is amazing. They are all very friendly and amenable. The ballroom was outstanding. It was a huge banquet room with 4 different entrances. We had a full service staff that served our guests' food and wine. We did decide to go with the hotel's catering, and it was amazing. I was really pleased with the food and the way that it was presented. They allowed for a DJ during the reception, which was great for our guests. I really enjoyed the banquet manager. She was a delight to work with and so was everyone there. Overall on a scale of 1-5 I would give the Waldorf Astoria, Chicago a 5. I was very pleased, as were our guests, but most importantly, my wife.
If you want the most beautiful and elegant wedding look no further than the Chicago Waldorf Astoria. From the moment we called to the moment we left the reception, everything was handled with finesse and grace. The flowers and decorations were beautiful, the food was delicious, and they accommodated our every need. At the end of the day, if you want as stressless of an experience as possible, I would look no further than the Waldorf. The managers were wonderful and incredibly helpful, and I'm so thrilled I had my wedding there. It is right there on Michigan Avenue and couldn't have a better view. They also gave us a great deal on our guests staying over!! Thanks again Waldorf!!
