The Museum of Contemporary Art provides a unique and modern location for a wedding and/or reception. My wedding took place in October, and the large windows of the MCA provided a beautiful view to the amazing fall in Chicago. The location is definitely more for those who prefer a modern aesthetic. The decor changes, depending on the exhibits at the museum. You should definitely look at your dates to see what type of work will be on display. The food is catered by the in-house restaurant, i.e., Wolfgang Puck, and is superb! It is rather expensive, but worth every cent. I have never heard so many raves about wedding food. The waiters are impeccably trained and put on quite a presentation for guests. The modern decor provides something of a blank canvas to work with when planning your own decor. I had a ""green"" theme to my wedding, using mostly trees, plants and foliage rather than flowers. The modern setting of the MCA provided an interesting contrast to my organic florals. The MCA really lends itself to any type of feel you are looking for. The interesting architecture provides many breathtaking photo opportunities - from the iconic exterior and the sculpture garden to the unique winding staircase. The acoustics are good, and the administration is extremely helpful from beginning to end. They even let us run our reception an hour longer than planned because guests were having such a great time. They really took time to make sure that every detail was perfect and that we had private moments available to us as well.
